Video of the Day: Not Disappointed by President Obama

Last month I mused over the things that President Obama has done for Black folks. This month I share with you some thoughtful commentary given by American author Jake Lamar.

I'm willing to give President Obama the benefit of the doubt as well. Can he live up to our dreams and aspirations if he is re-elected for a second term? YES, HE CAN!

It's politics...it's a tough balancing act...Plus, depending on what News you watch, US Corporate controlled or Aljazeera or Democracy Now...you get a whole different take and more detail on the carried over Bush Policies that Obama has left in place. I know I saw a few American Flags burned during the Libya and Syrian conflicts on the News station I was watching.

I read a piece today titled,
Burying Your Victories: What if Obama Taxed the Rich But Never Told Anyone?
By Paul Rogat Loeb.

If true... it’s a shame that the Country is so polarized that you can't event tout significant accomplishments as a President.

That felling of the (same old sh-t, just a different day) has set in among the masses..There is no sense of urgency among the networks that helped to energize the vote to get Obama elected to get him re-elect.

Daij - We love 'link-love' here on this blog! I'm glad you enjoyed the blog post. I guess we all need to read a book by this author some day soon.

Lehigh Valley BNN - I appreciate you visiting our blog and sharing your thoughts. It can be depressing sometimes when you see the level of venom in our political dialogue. I remain confident in our president and I'm glad that this video is now making the rounds.

I'm going to feature this on my round table discussion side bar.

Balance is the key and I agree the political stage has gotten extremely vitriolic & I don't blame this on our President.

There is one thing I know for sure about being THE FIRST at anything.
Challenges increase, resistance can be overwhelming, however, a steady course & a deep commitment to your goals usually prevails.

This is coming from someone who has concerns about some of President Obama's policies or appointments, yet, I do want him to succeed and I want nothing but happiness and safety for him and his family. 2012 - President Obama!

Carolyn - Man, I hope that he gets re-elected. I cannot imagine living under a Mitt Romney regime.
